Conditions of use

Care & Use — Small Objects & Tableware
  • Danywood products are made from solid wood of selected broadleaf species and are intended for normal domestic use. Wood is a natural material; therefore, each piece has its own individual characteristics.

  • Dimensional tolerances of up to 2% of the stated size, but not more than ±5 mm per side, are acceptable. Natural variations in grain, texture, and color may occur

  • Wood reacts to changes in humidity and temperature and “moves” over time. During use, changes in appearance may occur, including patina, minor scratches, and small hairline cracks. These characteristics are inherent to solid wood and are not considered defects.

  • All Danywood products feature a two-layer protective finish: a blend of natural oils followed by a wax-based composition. All components are environmentally friendly and certified as food-safe. The finish is designed for long-term use and generally does not require renewal under normal conditions. In cases of intensive use or demanding conditions, additional oiling or waxing may be applied when necessary.

  • Products should be washed by hand in warm water without abrasive cleaners or aggressive chemicals, then wiped dry and allowed to air-dry naturally. Dishwashers, soaking in water, prolonged exposure to moisture, sudden temperature changes, direct sunlight, and heat sources should be avoided.

Additional notes for furniture and large objects
  • Furniture and large objects are intended for indoor use in spaces with stable climatic conditions. Recommended relative humidity is 40–60% and temperature from +15 to +25 °C. Prolonged exposure to heat sources, direct sunlight, excessive dryness or humidity should be avoided, as these conditions may lead to deformation, changes in geometry, or surface cracking.
